SIKTA MOT STJÄRNORNA 1996

The picture is showing me as Mark Knopfler in the TV4 show Sikta mot stjärnorna (Aim for the stars). From the start it was all set that I was to do an Ulf Lundell song, but only a couple a weeks before the recording date they changed it to a Mark Knopfler song instead... thus I had been rehearsing the wrong song for a quite a while... :D The song I finally did was Walk of life. The clothes are made to match the video that was released with the song originally. Journalists made a thing of me having to shave off my moustache and for a week I probably had the most known ex-moustache. The show was on air  96-11-01.

Unfortunately I didn't win my round. The winner was Kari Palo who did David Bowie singing  China Girl. He was a spitting image of Bowie in his yellow suite, he actually became Bowie when he entered the stage. Anyway, I won the viewers votes when the show was broadcasted ... :)
